Small People in the Brick

 ６年足らずの金沢生活で、公私ともに大変お世話になったのが喫茶店キュリオ。家族のように接してくださったオーナーのソルさんと裕子さん、可愛いお子さんたちに加え、楽しい同僚たちと優しい常連さんに囲まれて幸せ者でした。キュリオ無くしては、これほど金沢での暮らしが充実することはありませんでした。
 ３年前、勇気を出してよかった。

 コーヒーが好きな人、外国の香りが好きな人、アンティークや音楽やアートの気配… あらゆる良きものを愛する全ての人に、ぜひ訪ねてほしいお店です。
メニューでオススメは？とよく聞かれましたが、３年いても迷います。どれも美味しいけど、アメリカーノとカフェラテはやっぱり鉄板。冷たいドリンクではゼスティーモカがおすすめ。フードも迷うけど、中でもお気に入りが冬場だとチリスープ。フムスもなかなか他では食べれません。そして私はホームメイドのグラノーラが大好き。

 １１月には外壁にささやかな絵を描かせてもらいました。あそこには小人たちが住んでいるみたいですよ。お店に立ち寄られた際には、ぜひちょいと探してみてください。画材はアクリルガッシュで、どのくらい保つのか実験を兼ねています。

これを皮切りに、フィールドをキャンバスや紙の上に限定しない、様々な活動をしていけたらと思っています。普段の生活の中で、ふと目に入ったときにちょっとワクワクする、そんな遊び心が、もっと世の中に増えていけばいいなと思います。お家の壁や庭先にこんなのあればいいなと思うんだけど、と頭の中でアイデアを燻らせている方は、ぜひお手伝いさせてください。こちらの連絡先へ、ご相談お待ちしています。

 Being company of the cafe ‘Curio espresso and vintage design’ was a great part of my Kanazawa life for 6years. I greatly appreciate for all the encounters with lovely people which I had there.

 I highly recommend this shop for all the people who love delicoius coffee, food, good music and smell of art —every kind of good old stuff. My favorites (especially!) are the homemade granola and Chili soup in the winter. I always have Americano but every drink I want you to try. Iced Zesty mocha is also an excellent choice.

 One month ago, I painted small pieces on the out side wall. Hmm, they seem to live in the bricks of the shop. Isn’t it nice? Please look for them when you visit Curio. They are painted with acrylic gouache. It is also a test for the durability.


  With this as a start, I am going to spread the field of my works. It doesn't have to be only on papers or canvases. I wish thousands of humorous trial will be everywhere in everybody's daily life.
